Job Title: Mainframe CICS System Admin/programmer
Location: Saltlake City, UT / Remote

Job Description :
- IBM/vendor support – familiar with IBM and other vendors websites: open problem cases, ask questions, prepare and send dumps.
- SMP/E – in-depth knowledge to perform installation work on CICS and associated products.
- Security – in-depth knowledge of ACF2 (must be able to install security on CICS and associated products and create ACF2 security rules related to CICS).
- SMF – moderate skill set required to gather and manipulate SMF data (specifically CICS 110 records).
- Problem determination skills – ability to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and determine remediation steps.
- Understanding of a CICS MRO environment (TOR and AOR configuration).
- Set traces (Aux and GTF) – ability to set traces to assist vendors in problem management and diagnosis.
- CICS shutdown statistics – capable of producing and interpreting shutdown stats to aid in problem determination and growth projections.
- Understanding of CICS dynamic storage areas and how to manipulate storage for short-term issues or future growth.
- Create transaction and system dumps (and send to vendors for analysis).
- RDO (Resource Definition Online) – ability to create necessary resources on CICS (e.g., transactions, programs, files, transient data queues, LSR groups).
- Web Services – creating and supporting web services within CICS.
- Broadcom ACF2 security – ability to install CICS security requirements, maintain ACF2 security within CICS, and manage resources.
- Tivoli/Omegamon products – responsible for installing and maintaining monitoring tools for CICS, z/OS, MQ, IIB, DB2, and web portal.
- Broadcom Intertest/Symdump – install and maintain these products, assist developers with questions and usage.
- SDS – CAFC (CICS Application File Control) – install and use for file control, application lists, and group lists; assist operators as needed.
- Trillium and Code1 software – aid in installation and daily management.
- Compuware products, specifically File-Aid – proficient in manipulating files through File-Aid software.
- Splunk – proficient in creating and modifying reports and dashboards to monitor CICS metrics such as CPU and storage consumption, transaction volume, response times, and wait times.
