Job summary

State of Maine is seeking a Rate Setting Data Specialist to assist the Data Analytics team with research, data collection, and analysis of healthcare reimbursement rates, including MaineCare. You will help create fee schedules and QA documents while supporting analysts on rate-setting initiatives.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, documentation quality, and collaboration within a team focused on health program efficiency. Partial telework is possible with approval.

Qualifications

• Eight-year combination of education/experience in data analysis and decision-making.
• Preferred experience with Medicaid or other health/human services programs.
• Competencies include Word/Excel proficiency, data analysis, critical thinking, teamwork and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research, data collection, analysis, and document creation.
• Support Rate Setting Financial Analysts and the Data Analytics team.
• Research reimbursement rates for MaineCare and other payers (Medicare, commercial).
• Provide Quality Assurance for internal and external documents.
• Create fee schedule documents and historic data files related to reimbursement rates.
• Create informational dashboards based on healthcare data to inform decisions.
