Job summary

The Pfister Hotel, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a passionate Main Kitchen Cook I to join our culinary team in Milwaukee. You will prepare and present high-quality items, maintain clean and organized stations, and ensure food safety throughout service.

Ideal candidates have prior hotel or high-volume kitchen experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.

• Previous cooking experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation, and safety practices.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Main Kitchen Cook I to join our culinary team and help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

What You Will Be Doing

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and maintain assigned workstations, ensuring ingredients, tools, and supplies are properly stocked and organized throughout each shift.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with chefs and fellow culinary team members to ensure timely and accurate preparation of meals during service periods.
• Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and kitchen cleanliness to support efficient daily operations.

Position Requirements

• Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, banquet, or high-volume food service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills with a positive and professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
