Job summary

Gannett Publishing Services in Canton, OH is seeking a Mailroom Foreman to oversee the Packaging department's operation, scheduling, staffing, quality control and accountability for all functions. You will interface with other departments and external customers to promote productivity and excellent service.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of supervisory packaging experience, is proficient with Microsoft Office and packaging software, and can plan, communicate, implement and assess

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or some college with equivalent work experience.
• Two years of experience in newspaper Packaging department management/supervision.
• Must be up to date with current packaging process, equipment and systems.
• Must be able to plan, communicate, implement and assess complicated production plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, scheduling, staffing, quality control and accountability of all Packaging department functions.
• Interface with other company departments and external customers to promote quality customer service and productivity.
• Plan and implement systems, activities and processes.
• Motivate, discipline when necessary, and maintain personnel records and procedures.
• Direct the work force to optimize productivity and work within deadline constraints to maintain a safe workplace.
