Job summary

Suttle-Straus in Waunakee, Wisconsin is seeking a Mailing Machine Operator to learn and operate printing and inserting equipment. The role involves setting up each job to job specifications and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a team, apply mechanical aptitude, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, with training provided and opportunities to grow in a collaborative, benefit-rich workplace.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills.
• Prior print shop and/or mail house experience a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment.
• Ability to operate a computer-based insert matching system.
• General knowledge of US postal regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to set up and operate printers, inserters, postage meters, and tray banding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate printing and inserting equipment and set up each job according to specifications.
• Maintain established production standards and stand 8 hours per day.
• Be detail oriented and apply mechanical aptitude.
• Participate in quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with team to resolve issues and ensure timely processing.
• Stay current with industry trends and USPS regulations.
