The City of Ventura is hiring a part-time, extra help Mail Services Assistant (Office Assistant I). This position supports the Digital Publishing office and performs general clerical and mail operations under supervision.
It is temporary and at-will, contingent on budget and agency needs. Primary duties include collecting mail, sorting mail, applying postage, operating a digital postage meter and scale, recording charges, and assisting printing production as needed.

Pay $22.18 - $26.96 Hourly (DOQ)
The City of Ventura is hiring a part-time, extra help Mail Services Assistant (Office Assistant I). This position works under general supervision and performs a wide variety of general clerical and operational duties supporting the City’s Digital Publishing office and operations. This is a temporary part-time “extra help" at‑will position. Extra help positions are subject to budget availability and agency needs.
A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to completion of the high school supplemented by additional clerical and computer coursework, keyboarding abilities sufficient to perform the job, and six months of clerical experience are required.
Depending on assignment, possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required.
