Job summary

JLL is seeking a detail-oriented Mailroom Associate to support our Mail, Supply & Receiving operations. You will process and deliver mail, manage shipments, and maintain office supplies while following safety protocols.

You will handle packing, labeling, and distribution across a multi-department facility, ensuring accuracy and timely service. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift items safely are required.

Responsibilities

  • Process and deliver various types of mail including pouch mail and accountable items.
  • Operate tracking systems to maintain accurate records of all shipments.
  • Package items, weigh packages, and print shipping labels.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for damage and distribute to departments.
  • Maintain coffee machines and restock supplies.
  • Make weekly paper deliveries to copy/mailrooms across the facility.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance via phone.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE when handling hazardous materials.

Job description

Compensation: $15.49 USD per hour (Union Rate)

What this job involves: Working in our Mail, Supply & Receiving department handling all aspects of mail processing, package management, and office supply support. You'll ensure timely delivery of materials throughout the facility while maintaining proper safety protocols when handling potentially hazardous materials. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail while providing essential support services to all departments.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Processing and delivering various types of mail including pouch mail and accountable items
  • Operating tracking systems to maintain accurate records of all shipments
  • Packaging items, weighing packages, and printing shipping labels/postage
  • Inspecting incoming deliveries for damage and distributing to appropriate departments
  • Maintaining coffee machines including cleaning bean-to-cup equipment and restocking supplies
  • Making weekly paper deliveries to 10 copy/mailrooms across the facility
  • Responding to customer inquiries and providing assistance via phone
  • Following safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment when handling potentially hazardous materials
Work Schedule:

Dayshift, Monday through Friday

  • Understanding of postal regulations and shipping requirements
  • Organizational skills and time management abilities
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting heavy items
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Safe operation of required equipment
Working Conditions:
  • May involve exposure to chemical and biological agents that could be hazardous if mishandled
  • Use of personal protective equipment will be required in certain situations
