Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for finishing/bindery on a daytime 7a–7p shift. We’ll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to quality printed materials.

You’ll feed books into machines, pack finished books, and move materials safely on the floor. No bindery experience is required—training is provided, and teamwork helps you hit daily production goals in a fast-paced, safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and manuals.
• Basic math skills; add/subtract; use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Mechanically inclined; comfortable using basic tools.
• Reliable team member with good attendance.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurementsTake pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
