Milliken & Company in Blacksburg, SC is seeking a Shipping Clerk at the Magnolia Finishing Plant. You will coordinate and execute office shipping activities, prepare orders, schedule shipments, and maintain records.

The role requires SAP experience, shipping/receiving knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office to support daily warehouse operations and customer relations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare orders for shipment
• Determine method of shipment by utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures and routes (as instructed by customer service)
• Keep and verify records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials as well as supplies
• Understands the shipping process and provides ideas and training for team members
• Contact carriers and schedule shipments and loading appointments for each order
• Process orders based on the customers preferred shipping system (UPS, FEDEX, etc..)
• Contribute to maintaining strong customer relationships - customer service, trucking companies, and others.
• Coordinates shipping priorities daily
• Print labels/Picking list for all orders and ensure team is aware of all special instructions
• Be able to complete good movement transactions in SAP
• Manager return goods to plants (STOs, B/Ls, etc.)
• Other items as assigned by the manager

This position is located at the Magnolia Finishing Plant in Blacksburg, SC and will report to the Warehouse Manager. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordination, organization and execution of the office related shipping activities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare orders for shipment

It is the expectation of the Shipping Clerk to carry out the above job description in an efficient and professional manner. The Shipping Clerk is a critical position that determines the effectiveness of the warehouse operations. The Shipping Clerk is a leader and should demonstrate that leadership by embracing the following:

• Develop relations with Business and Shipping Plant Associates
• Keep the warehouse on track daily with receiving requirements
• Be a leader and example in the area of SAP knowledge and use for all warehouse applications.
• Understand basic computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. This is needed to make and maintain charts, data, and communications to the warehouse, etc.
• Be a force for positive attitudes
• Offer suggestions and execute those activities that will make the warehouse better
• Willingly accept new roles and activities as assigned and created.
• Utilize their time effectively and productively to maximize output on a daily basis
• Ability to operate forklift/tugger and retrieve rolls to be put on orders
