Job summary

The ideal candidate will bring experience in magnetics, sintering, and heat treatment, with a hands-on approach to process development and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with focus on magnetics or magnetic materials.
  • 3+ years in permanent magnet development, magnetics engineering, or magnetic materials research.
  • Hands-on experience with sintering and heat treatment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of heavy-rare-earth minimization or free approaches in materials & process integration.
  • Assist scaling magnetics from lab to full-scale production and address variability or degradation.
  • Engage with SEM, EBSD, XRD, LECO and other measurement techniques to correlate magnetic results with microstructure.
  • Mentor technicians in magnetics fundamentals and contribute to IP development and publications.
