Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of a variety of medical equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and critical thinking.
• ACLS and BLS certification required/maintained.
• Ability to follow safety goals and procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications within the scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Assesses, evaluates, interprets and documents the patient’s physical and mental status.
• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and significant others to understand care needs.
• Promotes patient’s independence by teaching and establishing care goals; explaining condition and self-care.
• Ensures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and documenting outcomes.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures and protecting confidentiality.
