Job summary

Salinas Valley Health seeks a Magnet Clinical Excellence Specialist to oversee data processes and initiatives supporting Magnet designation. You will manage nursing quality dashboards, NSIs, patient experience indicators, and workforce data, while serving as the NDNQI administrator for Magnet indicators.

You will also mentor councils, lead Magnet Champions, and compile narratives to support quality and safety initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current California RN license required.
• Board certification required; CPHQ within 2 years of hire.
• Lean Management/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Two years of process improvement and evidence-based practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ANCC Magnet designation aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance to clinical nurses and staff through consultation and education.
• Participate in governance councils, committees and task forces.
• Mentor or precept nurse students in quality and safety.
• Lead quality improvement activities and evidence-based practice efforts.
• Prepare presentations and reports of NSI data and outcomes.
