Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Magnet Program Director to lead activities to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Status and to coordinate documentation and reporting.

Reports to Network Magnet Designation Director and Campus Chief Nurse Officer; requires strong leadership, communication, and MS Office skills; Magnet experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Status.

The Magnet Program Director is responsible for leading activities required to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Status. This role includes but is not limited to, planning, coordination, education, and collaboration about Magnet recognition, serving as a resource for Shared Decision-Making Councils, facilitating and overseeing the preparation of all Magnet documentation and interim reporting. Reports to Network Magnet Designation Director and Campus Chief Nurse Officer.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Magnet experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Specialty Certification in nursing.
