Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Magnet Program Director to lead efforts to attain and sustain ANCC Magnet Status across the network. You will coordinate education, documentation, and inter-disciplinary collaboration, and report to the Network Magnet Designation Director and Campus Chief Nurse Officer.

The role requires a BSN, at least five years in nursing with leadership experience, outstanding communication, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities required to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Status.
• Plan, coordinate, educate, and collaborate about Magnet recognition across the network.
• Serve as a resource for Shared Decision-Making Councils.
• Facilitate and oversee the preparation of all Magnet documentation and interim reporting.

This role includes but is not limited to, planning, coordination, education, and collaboration about Magnet recognition, serving as a resource for Shared Decision-Making Councils, facilitating and overseeing the preparation of all Magnet documentation and interim reporting. Reports to Network Magnet Designation Director and Campus Chief Nurse Officer.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Magnet experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Specialty Certification in nursing.
