Job summary

ServerMonkey is seeking a strategic and technically strong leader to own our Magento 2 Commerce platform. This role is fully in-office in Houston, TX, and will bridge engineering, product data, and digital marketing to accelerate revenue growth.

You will restructure the web team, stabilize our configurator, and build a scalable architecture with emphasis on performance, security, and UX. 7+ years in web dev with 3+ in leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Deep Magento 2 architecture knowledge (Cloud/On-prem) and performance tuning.
• Experience with complex rules/configuration systems or CPQ tools.
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD, automated tests, and server-side performance goals.
• 7+ years in Web Development/E-commerce; 3+ years in technical leadership.
• Experience managing sites with large catalogs or configurable products (50+ options).
• Familiarity with JavaScript stacks (Knockout/React), REST APIs, Linux, AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own the Magento 2 Commerce platform end-to-end including refactors for speed and mobile UX.
• Lead the restructuring of the web team into Platform, Data, and Growth pods.
• Oversee performance, security, PCI compliance, and deployment standards.
• Bridge engineering, product data, and digital marketing to align technical strategy with business goals.
• Manage external agencies and mentor engineers to foster a forward-looking culture.
• Ensure data integrity across Magento, GA4, ERP (NetSuite) and Inventory systems.
