Job summary

ARCH Medical Solutions is seeking a skilled Machinist Wire/EDM to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate EDM equipment to produce precise components for the medical device industry, solving problems and ensuring high quality.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, inspect with calipers and micrometers, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet customer specifications. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate EDM equipment, tooling, fixtures, electrodes, and wire systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Verify product quality using calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
  • Perform program verification and machine setup activities.
  • Monitor burn parameters, flushing systems, and dielectric fluid conditions.
  • Control surface finishes and dimensional accuracy to meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Troubleshoot dimensional issues and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately.

Shape the Parts Behind Life-Changing Medical Devices

ARCH Medical Solutions is seeking a skilled Machinist Wire/EDM to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce highly precise components used in the medical device industry. What You'll Do

As a Machinist EDM, you will:

  • Set up and operate EDM equipment, tooling, fixtures, electrodes, and wire systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Verify product quality using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
  • Perform program verification and machine setup activities.
  • Monitor and adjust burn parameters, flushing systems, and dielectric fluid conditions.
  • Control surface finishes and dimensional accuracy to meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Troubleshoot dimensional issues and support corrective actions.
  • Complete required production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions and elevate concerns appropriately.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities on assigned equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating EDM equipment, CNC machining equipment, or other precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other inspection tools.
  • Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting dimensional or process-related issues.
