Machinist, Technician (2nd Shift)

Overview

Join Toyota as a Machinist, Technician (2nd Shift) in Costa Mesa, California. We are a leading automotive company dedicated to innovation, quality, and employee growth. Please note, we do not sponsor work visas for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Load castings and raw materials for 5-axis CNC machining in an automated environment.
2. Ensure machines operate according to schedule and meet OEE targets.
3. Verify machine configurations, tooling, and fixtures proactively.
4. Perform daily maintenance and record activities.
5. Coordinate with QC to validate part quality and resolve issues.
6. Recover from alarms and document issues for root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Relevant trade education or experience in CNC machinery.
• At least 3 years in a dynamic manufacturing environment with machine operation and programming responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of machine tooling and blueprint reading with GD&T experience.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and Microsoft Office.

Physical & Additional Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities like bending and climbing.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC controls (Heidenhain, Mazatrol) preferred.
• Experience with shop floor 5S culture and root cause analysis.
