Job description

Quality Technician I - 2nd Shift; Mobility - Sekurit

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

In a safe manner, operate and maintain various types of measuring and manufacturing equipment and hand tools efficiently. Use handheld devices to register glass defects with photos to match inspection criteria. Understand the importance of standardizing line operations and coordinate with the Quality Technician to audit the lines daily for inconsistencies. Document and review the disposition of glass while complying with all safety, quality, and 5S/housekeeping standards.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (M-F 2:00pm to 10:30pm)

$19.50 Hourly + $0.50 Shift Premium

• Inspect and record defective glass to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
• Handle and apply chemicals directly to the glass in specific areas.
• Allocate components on the glass surface according to specifications.
• Adhere to specifications during inspection.
• Utilize all established PPE at all times.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, and reporting repairs needed.
• Maintain assigned work areas according to 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• High School Diploma or GED required (Technical degree welcome).
• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience using inspection equipment and following quality procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with basic manufacturing tools such as calipers, thread gauges, and compactors preferred.

Physical demands include but are not limited to:

• Wearing safety equipment and working in high noise levels.
• Constant visual inspection and measuring/assembly at close distance.
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
