Caterpillar in Dyer, IN is hiring a Machinist Technician for 1st shift. You will support fabrication activities, loading robots, deburring parts, and performing final inspections.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and blueprint reading. Training on 1st shift for up to 2 months before moving to hired shift. Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy.
• Provide support to operators.
• Remove sharp edges/weld spatter with hand tools and grinders.
• Perform final quality inspection prior to painting.
• Prepare parts for transport to other departments.
• Daily inspection of equipment for safety and efficiency.
