Job summary

Propulsion Technologies International, LLC (PTI) is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate computer-controlled and manual machine tools to repair or overhaul aviation components per approved data and customer requirements. You will read CAD/CAM files, align tools, monitor feeds, and inspect finished parts.

The role requires basic math, measurement proficiency, and the ability to read and follow procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • One to two years related experience or training
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometers, venires, calipers, dial indicators/ surface plates, surface testers, etc.
  • Analytic skills
  • Must have schedule flexibility; Training on 1st shift, and set schedule to be 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm with a shift differential
  • CNC Machinist Technical Certificate desired

  • Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects
  • Work with engineering on modification of repairs or new repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
