Job summary

Propulsion Technologies International, LLC (PTI) in Miramar, Florida is seeking an Aircraft Parts Technician for the 2nd shift to perform maintenance and repair on aviation components.

You will follow approved data, inspect dimensions with standard tools, and work with engineering to analyze issues while maintaining safety and compliance. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and eligibility to work in the United States; schedule is 2:30pm–11:00pm.

Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and speak English to follow procedures.
  • Must pass drug/alcohol screening.
  • 2nd shift availability: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11:00pm.
  • FAA Covered position - regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repair processes for engine components undergoing repair/overhaul.
  • Inspect and measure aircraft component dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify specifications.
  • Disassemble, assemble, install parts for inspection.
  • Operate power tools and equipment for related tasks.
  • Work with engineering to identify failure modes and perform root cause analysis.
  • Follow housekeeping and safety rules.

Role Summary/Purpose:

Perform maintenance and repair or overhaul on aviation components in accordance with approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements. FAA Covered position

  • Performs repair processes for engine components undergoing repair/overhaul following established guidelines and supervisory guidance
  • Inspect and measure aircraft component dimensions utilizing standard tools to include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Disassemble, assemble, install parts for inspection
  • Operates power tools and equipment necessary to perform associated tasks
  • Work with engineering to identify failure modes and perform root cause analysis
  • Follow all housekeeping and safety rules
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Mechanical ability (use of power tools, hand tools, specialty equipment)
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language to interpret and follow written procedures, complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions
  • Basic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skills
  • Must pass drug/alcohol screening
  • Must meet the following near vision requirements: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16" (42 cm) ± 1" (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved
  • Must have availability to work 2nd shift (Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm)
