Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Sr Machinist to operate CNC lathes, study work orders and blueprints, and apply GD&T to produce precision components in Odessa, Texas.

The role requires interpreting engineering plans, conducting SPC checks, and ensuring measurements meet specifications. You will train and supervise lower-level staff and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating CNC lathes and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and apply tolerances to machining processes.
• Experience with SPC charts and regular gauging and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Produce machined parts using CNC lathes per work orders and blueprints.
• Review and interpret engineering plans, GD&T, and material specs.
• Lead daily operations, train and review work of junior staff.
