Join to apply for the Machinist (Slant Bed Turning) 2nd Shift role at ValvTechnologies.

Position: Machinist Large Mills (Night & Weekend Shift)

Schedule: 2nd or 3rd shift

Note: Air-conditioned modern shop located in Northwest Houston with room for advancement for the right individual.

Position Overview: This position is responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathe and 4-axis mill machines.
• Install chuck jaws and fixtures on machines.
• Set up CNC machines using edge finders or probes to locate program zero.
• Adjust program speeds, feeds, and depth of cuts as required.
• Machine parts according to drawings.
• Measure parts, complete inspection reports, and adjust offsets.
• Perform other work-related functions as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Core Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience on CNC or manual machines.
• Ability to read and understand G-Codes and M-Codes using Fanuc controls.
• Experience machining valve components is a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to machine exotic materials such as Titanium and Inconel.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to produce precision work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to handle multiple demands with urgency and energy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver on time.
