Job summary

RW Screw Products, Inc. seeks a skilled Machinist – Setup Technician (Level 3) to perform setups, changeovers, and process adjustments on single or multi-spindle machines. You will support production goals and quality while developing toward technical ownership.

You will read blueprints, use precision measurement tools, and collaborate with senior staff in a fast-paced shop. This role offers full-time hours in Massillon, OH with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on machining experience in a production setting.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts.
• Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including overtime.
• Commitment to safety and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform setups and changeovers on single or multi-spindle machines.
• Operate machines to support daily production requirements.
• Make routine process adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Identify issues and escalate complex problems to Senior Technicians or Engineering.
• Follow setup documentation, work instructions, and standards.
• Support process improvement and kaizen initiatives on the shop floor.
• Assist with new part launches and machine changeovers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and monitor coolant/oil levels.
