Job description

Parker Aerospace develops technologies and innovative solutions for aviation, aiming to enable reliable, efficient, and sustainable flight. As part of the Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division, your work will support the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems.

Essential Functions
  • Set up and run multiple production machines, including reworking parts. Perform machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts.
  • Align and fasten work using standard fixtures and established methods.
  • Install and adjust cutting tools consistent with the type and size of material being machined.
  • Follow established manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to produce quality parts, per documentation.
  • Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with engineering blueprints and route sheets.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and magnification equipment including microscopes.
  • Routinely maintain equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability specific to division requirements.
  • Perform statistical process control (SPC) in accordance with division requirements.
  • Implement lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions for improvement and applying lean concepts and tools in the work area.
  • Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
  • Three years of related machining experience with ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment.
  • Ability to make machine set‑ups and read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
  • Effective application of lean initiatives.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Interpretation of reports and use of job‑specific software applications. Ability to use employee self‑service systems to access online information and use specialized automated systems.
  • Demonstrated team member competencies and participation in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.
Typical Mental and Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods, manual dexterity, and regular attendance. The team member must work cooperatively and professionally with others and may need to lift up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
