Job summary

Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC) is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our on-site shop in Florida. You will set up and operate Prototrak-controlled milling machines, program conversationally, and select tooling, speeds, and feeds to meet tight tolerances.

You will read blueprints and GD&T, perform in-process inspections, and maintain production documentation. The role offers day and evening shifts, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative environment where quality and safety come

Qualifications

• 1 to 2+ years of machining experience required.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming required.
• Experience with Prototrak conversational controls required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming.
• Program milling operations conversationally at the control; edit and troubleshoot existing programs.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job.
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement tools.

• Maintain production documentation such as work orders and time sheets.
• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements; keep the work area clean and organized.

Prototrak Mill (Conversational CNC)

• Set up and operate Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming
• Program milling operations conversationally at the control; edit and troubleshoot existing programs
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement tools
• Select and manage tooling for optimal performance
• Produce parts within tight tolerances and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts to produce parts to print
• Maintain production documentation such as work orders and time sheets
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety guidelines and equipment protocols
• Communicate proactively with leadership and team members on job status, tooling needs, and quality concerns

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 or more years of machining experience required
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming required
• Experience with Prototrak conversational controls required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds
• Occasional bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motion
• Fine motor skills and close visual attention required

Working Conditions:

• On-site attendance required
• First and Second Shift Available: First Shift – 6:00AM – 2:30PM | Second shift – 3:00PM - 11:30PM
• Manufacturing environment; exposure to coolants, oils, metal chips, dust, and moderate to high noise
• PPE required: safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
• Shop temperature is climate controlled

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $24.00-47.00
