Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a Machinist to support heavy mining equipment at our facility near Mesa Gateway Airport. Work hours typically Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm, with a possible shift change later to Tuesday–Friday.

You will set up and operate large lathes, drills, milling machines, and grinders, ensuring safety and quality in every job. The ideal candidate will be trained in manual lathe operations, have experience with large components, and demonstrate precise

Qualifications

• Must be trained in the operational process of manual lathe.
• Good understanding of repair of large components.
• Working knowledge of different types of metals, their uses and repair procedures.
• Proficient in use of a micrometer and measuring with calipers; documentation of measurements.

Responsibilities

• Polishing, grinding, boring and milling.
• Set up and operate large vertical turret lathes.
• Set up and operate large radial drill.
• Set up and operate manual milling machines.
• Set up and operate portable line boring bar equipment.
• Set up and operate surface grinders and polisher.
• Perform safety inspections of shop equipment before operations.
• Keeps track of jobs and fills out work scope reports.
• Weld components as needed (Tig, Mig, Stick, Sub-arc).
