Job summary

Komatsu Southwest in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Machinist to support heavy mining equipment at the Mesa Gateway Airport facility. The role involves set-up and operation of large lathes, drills, and milling machines, with welding as required.

Hours are currently Monday–Friday 6:00 am–4:30 pm, with potential shift changes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in manual lathe operation, micrometer and caliper use, and large component repair, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a heavy

Qualifications

• Must be trained in the operation of a manual lathe.
• Proficient use of micrometers and calipers with documentation.
• Good organizational skills and basic shop math.
• Experience repairing large components and reading blueprints is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Polish and grind components; bore and mill as needed.
• Set up and operate large vertical turret lathes.
• Set up and operate a large radial drill and manual milling machines.
• Operate portable line boring equipment and surface grinders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and document work orders.
