Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a driven machinist to plan, layout, set up, operate and adjust a range of machine shop equipment. You will work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to produce precision metal parts and communicate with engineers to ensure the correct part function.

You will inspect produced parts for tolerance compliance, identify minor malfunctions, and comply with LMS training plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related machine shop experience.
• LMS training plan completion is required.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP and MS Office tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, set up, operate and adjust machines per blueprints and process sheets.
• Read blueprints and sketches to produce precision parts.
• Inspect tolerances and identify minor machine malfunctions for repair.
• Coordinate with engineers to understand part purpose.
