Job summary

Afton Chemical is seeking a skilled Machinist to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and align industrial machinery and equipment in our Pasadena, TX facility. You will work with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, turbines, and valves, following safety and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, precision alignment, reading blueprints, calibrating valves, operating cranes up to 35 tons, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Millwright Certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and determine root causes of equipment issues.
• Repair and replace bearings, shafts, couplings, belts, chains, seals, and other components.
• Align motors, pumps, and rotating equipment with precision tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and repair procedures.
