Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a machinist in Greer, SC to set up, operate, and monitor machining equipment producing aerospace parts per strict specifications.

You will read engineering drawings, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain safe, clean work environments while collaborating with a tight-knit team to meet production goals. Prior CNC and manual machining experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a machinist with strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and quality control in manufacturing.
  • Experience with CNC machines and manual tooling is valued.

Job description

In this role, you will impact the production of critical aerospace parts that support Honeywell’s commitment to safety, quality, and innovation in the aerospace industry. Your work will help maintain our reputation for excellence and support our customers' mission-critical operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, operate, and monitor machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Responsibilities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.

WE VALUE

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or precision machining environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing production needs.
