Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Machinist Level 2 to support its Machine Shop in Goleta. You will set up and operate manual lathes, manual mills, CNC mills, and precision grinders to manufacture components to tight tolerances.

The role requires interpreting drawings, planning operations, and using precise measuring tools. The contractor may travel to Oxnard occasionally and must be a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years machining experience.
• Able to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC Mills and machine programming software.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes/mills and CNC mills.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with precision instruments.
• Read blueprints and ensure tolerances and dimensions.
• Maintain tooling and materials readiness; uphold safety and cleanliness.
