Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Salt Lake City is seeking a Machinist to join the Copper Crossing Value Stream. The role covers setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce and inspect high-value rocket motor casings, with training responsibilities for peers.

The position requires 2+ years CNC 3-5 axis experience or 4+ years for Level 3, strong GD&T skills, and experience with Fanuc controllers. Overtime and a 12-hour shift are possible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC 3-5 axis machining experience.
• Extensive experience running manual machines and set-ups.
• Experience with Fanuc Controller preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications and blueprints.
• Expert in GD&T.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment and inspect high-value rocket motor case parts.
• Set up and operate machine tools to exact tolerances.
• Perform in-process and final part inspections.
• Provide training on CNC setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
