Job summary

Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (MTI) in New Mexico is seeking a Machinist III to join the Mill Department. This senior role handles 5-axis Haas mills and a Fanuc robot cell, reporting to the Mill Lead.

You will program in Mastercam, run multiple machines, and ensure tight tolerances on complex parts. Qualified applicants will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and mentor junior machinists. A HS diploma or equivalent is required; this position offers competitive hourly pay and full

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 5-axis Haas mills (UMC-750SS, VF-4SS, DM-2) or program VF-3SS robot cell.
• Program in Mastercam.
• Run two to three machines at a time while maintaining quality and throughput.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Inspect own work and support first article inspection.
• Mentor junior machinists and support the Mill Lead.

Job description

MTI is a precision machining and fabrication shop looking for a Machinist III to join our Mill Department. We are AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR registered, and have been building complex, high quality parts in New Mexico since 1989.

This role reports to the Mill Lead and takes on our most demanding work, including 5-axis machining and our Fanuc robot cell. It is a strong fit for a senior machinist who runs multiple machines and programs complex parts.

What you will do:

• Program, set up, and operate 5-axis Haas mills such as our UMC-750SS, VF-4SS, and DM-2, or program our VF-3SS Fanuc robot cell


• Program in Mastercam


• Run two to three machines at a time while holding quality and throughput


• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T


• Inspect your own work and support first article inspection


• Mentor junior machinist s and support the Mill Lead

What we are looking for:

• Ability to program in Mastercam
