Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY, is hiring a Lathe Machinist III for the 3rd shift to manufacture high-precision aerospace components. You will work with CNC lathes that include milling capabilities, ensuring tight tolerances and complex geometry per detailed drawings.

The role requires 4+ years of CNC Machinist experience and knowledge of G-Code; Fanuc controls are a plus. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified applicants who apply between July 20, 2026 and September 11, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise, ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer instructions in English.
• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably on Lathe and Mill machines.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of G-Code.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls a plus.
• Knowledge of B axis Mill Turns with main and sub spindle a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work under minimal supervision and assist in planning work and solving problems within the cell.
• Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes and complex geometry.
• Inspect all work, set up or adjust gauging equipment, detect unusual conditions and errors in blueprints or operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably working on Lathe machines and Mill machines.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of G‑Code
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls a plus
• Having knowledge of B axis Mill Turns with main and sub spindle a plus.

As a Lathe Machinist III, you will:

• Work under minimum supervision and help in the planning of work and solving of problems within the cell.
• Perform set‑ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Be responsible for the inspection of all work performed, setting up or adjusting gaging equipment, detecting unusual conditions, deviant parts; and when needed recognizing errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $32.00–$37.00 Hourly
