Moog is seeking a skilled Machinist II on the 2nd shift to manufacture high-precision aerospace components using CNC lathes with milling capabilities. You will interpret complex drawings and GD&T data, perform set-ups, and inspect finished parts to ensure tight tolerances.

The role requires at least 3 years of CNC lathe experience and preferably knowledge of G-Code and Fanuc controls. A competitive compensation package is offered in Buffalo, NY with potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, working on Lathe machines with Mill capabilities.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of G-Code is preferred.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work under minimum supervision and help in the planning of work and solving problems within the cell.
• Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Be responsible for the inspection of all work performed, setting up or adjusting gaging equipment, detecting unusual conditions, deviant parts; and when needed recognizing errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.

In this role, you'll manufacture complex, high-precision components used in critical aerospace and defense applications, working with advanced equipment and challenging technical requirements. This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and September 11, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you

As a Machinist II, you will

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $28.00-$32.00 Hourly
