Position Summary

Setup and operate Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) lathes and/or mills. Primarily responsible for setting up and operating equipment with some program editing and offsetting on a variety of parts. Responsible for meeting dimensional requirements.

Shifts: 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday

Duties

• Read blueprints and routers to meet production and quality requirements.
• Set up and operate swiss type CNC lathe or CNC milling center for various jobs based on specific requirements. May assist lower-level operators.
• Perform limited editing and offsetting of programs.
• Utilize standard measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers to ensure quality while maintaining productivity.
• Adhere to general plant rules and policies.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• CNC machining experience of 3-5 years or technical degree.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, process routers, and SOPs.
• Perform operations requiring fine motor skills.
• Stand primarily, with limited sitting, bending, or twisting.
• Ability to move products weighing up to fifty pounds.
• Visual acuity sufficient to detect subtle product non-conformities.
