Job summary

Stryker in Arlington, TN is seeking an experienced Machinist to set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual machines to produce parts that meet engineering specifications. You will read blueprints and perform first-article checks.

This role requires hands-on machining experience, ability to work weekends/overtime, and a Machinist Certification is preferred. You will collaborate with engineers and quality teams while supporting 5S and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience actively working on machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on machining experience (CNC or manual) in a production setting.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as required by production needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce parts that meet engineering and quality specifications.
• Actively work on machines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring consistent output, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings.
• Perform routine quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and document results as required.
• Identify and escalate equipment issues, quality concerns, or deviations from standard work.
• Support 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the machining area.
• Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and quality partners to meet production and quality goals.
