Shifts Available: 6am-2:30pm (Days) Must Be Available to Work Overtime as Needed

Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays

Pay: $22-$35 base pay (depending on experience) + Bonus

Summary

Machinist II is responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC lathes and machining equipment using Fanuc and Haas controls to produce parts that meet print specifications and quality standards. The role includes performing machine setups, making offset adjustments, replacing and maintaining tooling, and using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy. The Machinist II applies working knowledge of G and M codes to identify and resolve basic program-related issues, monitors production to ensure quality and surface finish requirements are met, and performs secondary operations such as deburring and washing. This position supports safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform full basic setups on CNC machines, with the ability to independently set up and run all jobs on CNC lathes using Fanuc and Haas controllers.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of G and M codes; identify, troubleshoot, and correct basic program and code-related issues to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Install, replace, and maintain commonly changed tooling and machine components, ensuring proper offsets, alignment, and readiness for production.
  • Monitor parts during production to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish, follow safety and quality standards, and support efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production needs and overall operational success.
  • Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to operate CNC controls and enter or modify machine parameters as authorized.
  • Ability to independently set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines to produce quality parts according to specifications.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, tooling selection, and machine capabilities.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
  • Ability to perform in-process and final inspections to verify conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of complex drawings.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application to part inspection and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements to improve quality and productivity
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of CNC machining experience, including performing basic setups, operating CNC lathes and/or mills, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and demonstrating working knowledge of G and M codes.
