Warren CAT in Odessa, TX is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines for fabricating metal and nonmetal parts. The role involves studying plans, measuring parts, selecting tools, and ensuring parts meet specifications.
The position requires reading blueprints, precise measurement, and problem-solving abilities, plus the capacity to work with mills, lathes, and related equipment.
The Machinist II is responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move heavy objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
