Job summary

Valmet in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician/Machinist to support daily machining and production operations. You will operate manual and CNC equipment, read engineering drawings, and produce parts that meet specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, with the ability to learn quickly and work well in a team. Prior machining experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.

Join our team in Shrewsbury, MA as a Machinist!

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support daily machining and production operations while following established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. You will operate manual and CNC machining equipment as trained, read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions, and produce parts that meet customer and engineering specifications. You will perform basic inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality. In this role, you will also assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and routine troubleshooting, while identifying and reporting any equipment, quality, or production concerns. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Previous experience operating machinery or working in a production setting is helpful but not required.
