Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an experienced mold technician to work in our molding department. The role involves executing mold changeovers, reading production schedules, and ensuring quality through careful inspection and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and at least 1 year in machinery or manufacturing, with preference for mold experience and forklift/pallet jack operation. Join a global leader in fluid dispensing systems.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with industrial machinery or in a mechanical role.
  • Experience with injection molds is preferred.
  • Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow IQMS RT Scheduler mold requirements, as determined by the planner.
  • Green-tag readied molds; move to staging area in molding department.
  • Disassemble and clean molds; inspect for problems.
  • Install changeover parts, as required.
  • Take measurements to determine wear and proper sizes of pins, bushings, and hold dimensions.
  • Keep records up to date, including mold tagging system.
  • Practice good housekeeping and prevent pollution or other negative environmental impacts.
  • Use power hand tools as necessary; use Ice Blaster as required.

Job Summary

Work independently and follow the overall work schedule, as determined by the department leader. Clean molds and complete mold changeovers to meet schedule requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow & update IQMS RT Scheduler mold requirements, as determined by the planner
  • Green-tag readied molds; move to staging area in molding department
  • Disassemble & clean molds; inspect for problems.
  • Install changeover parts, as required
  • Take measurements to determine wear & proper sizes of pins, bushings, and hold dimensions
  • Keep records up to date, including mold tagging system.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
  • Use power hand tool as necessary
  • Use Ice Blaster as required
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 years of experience working with industrial machinery and/or automotive in a mechanical aspect
  • Experience working with injection molds, preferred
  • Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation, preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Math and reading comprehension
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand micrometers and calibers, preferred
