Job description

Join a team of professionals

Responsible for the operation, setup, and utilization of 5-axis lathe machines, along with supporting processes in prototyping and production of machined products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform setup and operation of 5-axis lathe machines. Inspect finish tools.
2. Perform basic TruePath and/or Mastercam operations.
3. Consult with product development engineers, programmers, and tooling department for cutting tools and tooling needs.
4. Maintain fixtures and setups for projects as assigned.
5. Monitor machine performance and report issues to maintenance.
6. Inspect and document operations per Quality Manual and engineer requirements.
7. Perform daily machine maintenance.
8. Support shop efficiency by maintaining clean and safe work areas; report hazards.
9. Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• 2+ years CNC Mill or Lathe operator experience with basic setup.
• Understanding of trigonometry.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y 14.5.
• Experience with blueprint reading and metrology tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
