Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6:00AM – 2:30PM) Machinist I, II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I,II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:Base Salary $18.56/hr - $27.00/hrplus .75 shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Operate the machine according to standard operating instructions (SOP)
  • Document and inspect qualityof work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP).
  • Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators
  • Understand work orders and routings
  • Follow all environmental, health, & safety EHS policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Daily 5S/housekeeping

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
  • Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance(GD&T)
  • Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
  • Professional communication skills
