Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist I to join our Florida-based operations. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read drawings, and follow work instructions to produce precision parts.

You’ll work independently, multitask across multiple machines when needed, and support engineering with first-run programs while maintaining safety and quality standards. We offer excellent benefits, training opportunities, and a team culture focused on safety,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years machining experience.
• Experience with Horizontal/Vertical Mills, Lathes, EDMs.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and perform machining operations per drawings and work instructions.
• Operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs as applicable.
• Make machine offset adjustments to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Verify fixture setups meet quality requirements.
• Set machine controls for cutting depth, speed, and feeds.
• Perform TPM activities on equipment.
• Assist Engineering with first-run and prove-out programs.
• Maintain knowledge of other shop processes and support production needs.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Contribute to team goals and protect confidential information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
