Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas in Orlando is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and adjust machine controls to meet specs, while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Three years of related machining experience or training.
• Experience with loading/unloading parts, tooling, and basic inspections.
• Ability to read drawings, instructions, and technical data.
• Basic math including fractions and decimals; strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and perform machining operations per drawings and work instructions.
• Operate CNC and manual equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• Make machine offset adjustments to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Verify fixture setups meet quality requirements and established standards.
• Calculate and set machine controls for cutting depth, speed, and coolant flow.
• Assist Engineering with first-run and prove-out programs.
• Maintain knowledge of other shop processes and support production needs.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
