Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Machinist I on the 2nd shift to produce high-precision aerospace components. You will operate a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to tight tolerances and finishes, reading blueprints and GD&T, and ensuring strict process control.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a general machinist; CNC lathe experience preferred.
• Graduation from a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC program may substitute for experience.
• Ability to follow an escalation path in machining.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment incl. micrometers and dial gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform setups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances.
• Inspect work, set up or adjust gaging equipment, detect deviations and errors in drawings.
• Interpret complex drawings including GD&T blueprints and operation sheets.
