HI-LEX North America in Michigan is seeking an entry-level Machinist I to machine and fabricate parts to print and direction. You will work with engineering and other machinists to develop products and habits that meet company standards.
A high school diploma is required; you should be able to read engineering drawings and use calipers and micrometers. Basic knowledge of measuring equipment and materials is expected, with 2 years experience preferred.

Position Summary
The Machinist I position is an entry level position for machining and fabricating. The individual should have basic concepts and working knowledge of measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers as well as vertical mills and lathes. The main responsibility of this position is to machine and produce products to print and/or direction. Individuals will be tasked to work with engineering and other machinists to develop products and habits conducive to company standards.
