Federal Signal Corporation, through its Mark Rite Lines Equipment Company subsidiary in Billings, MT, seeks an entry-level Machinist helper. The role will assist experienced machinists with operations, read blueprints, and learn basic machining principles in a safety-focused shop environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced machinists with machining operations and component production.
• Operate common hand tools and basic shop equipment safely.
• Learn basic machining principles, shop procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform assigned tasks using detailed instructions and established work procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production goals while following all company safety policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
• Willingness to learn machining practices.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Exposure to manufacturing or machining.
• Basic blueprint familiarity.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift materials and safely operate machinery.
