Job summary

RENK America in Cincinnati is seeking a motivated candidate for a high-volume production role in machining. No prior experience required; you will learn on the floor under experienced machinists to safely produce thousands of high-quality components.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, operating CNC and manual equipment, reading blueprints and drawings, proving out programs, using Fanuc controls, and maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience preferred.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Operate CNC machines and read precision measuring instruments.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Setup machine as appropriate to machine specifications
  • Setup and operate computer numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines.
  • Perform highly repetitive short-cycle machine operations associated with quantity production of identical units
  • Ability to read and edit programs using Fanuc controls
  • Work from written procedures, complex drawings and blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations
  • Prove out programs and edits as necessary
  • Must know G‑Code/M‑code
  • Use and interpret precision measuring instruments
  • Change tool offsets to maintain dimensions per production drawings
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Maintain required time, production and quality records
  • Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures

Job Summary

This high-volume production role provides on-the-job training for a motivated individual to launch a career in machining. We do not require prior machining experience—instead, we are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated reliability, meets performance expectations, and shows a genuine willingness to learn on the floor. Under the guidance of experienced machinists, you will learn to safely produce thousands of high-quality components.

Candidate Traits
  • A strong work ethic with a proven history of being punctual and reliable.
  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, and reading a measuring tape).
  • High attention to detail to catch discrepancies early and prevent material waste.
  • An eagerness to ask questions and embrace hands‑on learning.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar capacity preferred
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Operate a variety of computer numeric control (CNC)
  • Check accuracy of work using precision measuring instruments
  • Must be able to handle large and heavy parts using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
  • Shop environment, exposed to shop elements
  • May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
  • Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
  • Physical demand to make setups and perform machining operations
  • Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
